I find academia has a unique capacity to make you feel shit
Some folks resorted to putting up their paper on "A practical Take on Theory in HCI" as a whitepaper instead of following reviewers advise on rewriting it. I haven't read it fully yet, but it looks like a fair contribution to the discussion about theory in HCI. The decision to make it a whitepaper is better than not releasing it, but it's a discouraging for the HCI theory conversations...

nice article from Science about #AcademicTwitter and #ScienceTwitter ( #ScienceMastodon ? #AcademicMastodon ?). I managed to have the last word in it, and this is something I've been thinking a lot about. (Also @ct_bergstrom is in here!)
