Remember when Freenode took over channels that had Libera in the topic?

Musk is doing the exact same thing. I hope Twitter dies like Freenode did.
New Twitter policy dropped. In addition to blocking links to mastodon, you now cannot set your profile data to mention mastodon.
There are a lot of tools out there that helped the migration to mastodon by scanning your follows and looking for data in bios to help migrate your follows over to mastodon. The one I used is called debirdify and it was super important to getting me started here.

@nat glad I set my profile name there a couple weeks ago. I wonder if they're going to go back through and ban accounts? Or just block changes
Twitter is now going to punish people for linking to their other social media platforms like Mastodon.đź’€
This is the final nail in the tiny bird shaped coffin for me. I'll be completely shifting focus to posting here instead, on a platform that isn't rotting from the inside out.
no URLs. no usernames without the URL. no bypassing restrictions on URLs (like writing example dot com). no posting images with usernames in them.

Trump getting his supporters all hyped for his big announcement and it turns out to be an NFT is incredibly funny. Best joke of the year, by far.
@inkypitchbot the article title made sense but the proposed author broke the illusion
@molly0xfff 1/3 of MIT wants to work on scams. Neat
Trying to figure out why https://adventofcode.com/2015/day/1/input makes my terminal barf. Both cygwin64 terminal and iTerm2 blow up in odd ways when just copying and pasting it out of Firefox.
But using /dev/clipboard or pbpaste and piping it to my program works fine. WTF.

@adamtuttle 15 years of vim for browser, mail client, and editor and that's what I have to show for it lol
@adamtuttle I don't use modifier keys at all. I usually just invoke stuff via the command bar.
I literally use w,b,a,i,j,k. That's it lol.
@adamtuttle frankly I don't use h or l that much, most of my movement is word based with w and b
@adamtuttle It's just because one keyboard back in the day had arrows drawn on hjkl - https://catonmat.net/why-vim-uses-hjkl-as-arrow-keys
This is all so that my gaming PC doubles as a development box, since it has 32GB of ram and striped SSDs, and no I do not want to use a VM or WSL as the development environment.
