I remember in like 1999, when we would go to the library at school, we would get lectures about how important it was to use reliable, scholarly sources, and how using Wikipedia or Google was "bad" (paraphrasing for brevity). I remember thinking that it's just a bunch of old people that didn't like technology.
Recently, with the revelation that the academic system is starting to break because of ChatGPT, and my dislike of LLMs, I guess I'm now the old person warning about this new technology
